Having been a member of Broomhill for many years from a kid to my early 20’s, I joined again 5 years ago.
I play both tennis and squash with varying degrees of success.
I am proud to be President of Broomhill and am keen to respond to members / potential members’ needs and so if there is anything that you wish to discuss then please don’t hesitate to get in touch
I joined the club in 2016 having previously been a junior member too many years ago to remember and took on the club secretary role in 2018. I play in the men’s third and veteran’s team’s and try to keep fit with Cardio tennis and social tennis. As secretary I deal with the administrative aspects of the club and respond to enquiries from prospective members. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions about membership or the club.
I joined Broomhill tennis club in 2008 after only really starting to play tennis in my mid-thirties by going to social tennis at Scotstoun. I joined after going on a tennis holiday to Majorca and being told there that joining a tennis club would be a good idea. Turned out to be the best thing I ever did! I haven’t improved my tennis much but have made fantastic friends and even met my future husband (Ian) because of this place.
I’m play in the ladies 2nd team and am the captain of the Winter league team as well now being the Subscription secretary.
I have also managed to whip up enthusiasm for tennis holidays amongst other members and have been away every year on a tennis holiday with a gang from Broomhill to Greece, Majorca and Turkey so far. : )
I have been a member of Broomhill for around 40 years. I enjoy playing for both the Gents squash and tennis teams as well as occasionally playing for the mixed winter league tennis team.
Broomhill is a great place for social events and I really enjoy the regular music nights.
I am a past President of the club and this year have taken over the role of Squash Convenor from Paul King. Hopefully I can continue Paul’s good work organising squash teams and representing the interests of squash players at committee meetings.
